For over 35 years Romay Corp has been a trusted source for Ceramic and Silicon Nitride insert cutting tools.  During that time, we have been on the forefront of productivity and change in production machining.

Silicon Nitride has grown to become the preferred cutting tool material for high production machining of irons.  Romay has six different grades of Silicon Nitride,  dimpled inserts, and stocks a wide variety of sizes and styles to meet the varying needs of a complex industrial market.

Ceramic, first developed in the 50’s, continues to offer wear resistance and surface finishes that rival Diamond Tools for light machining of all different kinds of steel.  Romay’s CC-30 grade is our 4th generation ceramic, specially formulated for machining materials above Rc58.

At Romay Corp, we have steadily built a brand by offering these Advanced Cutting Tool Materials to our customers at prices well below our competition.

In the past 3 years, we have added several exciting new products!  These new offerings are in keeping with our focus on Advanced Cutting Tool Tech.  Our patented SC Coating is pushing the boundaries of where Tool Coatings can be used.  Romay’s Whisker Ceramic is broadening the scope of what ceramic tools can do, especially in Aerospace metals.  Most recently, Romay’s first ever Coated Carbide Insert line is receiving high praise from our distributors.
